What should I expect during treatment?
- Prior to starting treatment, your skin will be cleansed and numbing cream applied.
- A small sample of your blood will be drawn to create platelet rich fibrin – ezPRF.
- The provider will carefully glide the SkinPen over the treatment area.
- The small needles create tiny micro-channels in the skin and the ezPRF applied.
- Most patients feel only slight pressure and a gentle buzzing sensation, with little to no discomfort.
- The procedure typically takes about 60 minutes.
What should I expect after treatment?
- Day 1: Moderate redness and swelling depending on the individual. Similar to a sunburn.
- Day 2: Some redness and swelling may persist.
- Day 3: Most redness should be gone. Ok to resume sunscreen and cosmetics.
- Day 4: Ok to resume normal skincare routine.
